I dont consider my self a writer since I never really wrote much whether its for classes or personal fun. In 2011 that changed when I picked a major that requires a lot of writing and its when I discovered that I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words. I have taken writing intensive courses and did good in them, but I had a very hard time writing because I would simply freeze and loose my ability to express my self. Thus far, all my writing was for classes in the form of academic research which is what defines my future writing.
I want to have the ability to express my thoughts through writing research papers and professional reports to better prepare me for the future. I have a hard time creating a flow of ideas that lead to a conclusion, or an argument without creating a clutter of sentences that leaves the reader confused. The fact that I didn’t write for several years before taking up this major highlighted several flaws in my writing and I want to raise my confidence in my writing while giving the readers new information that makes sense leading them to reach new conclusions based on my arguments.
